We are thrilled to share the successful Grand Opening of the New Balance Skowhegan Manufacturing Expansion in Skowhegan, Maine! This exciting 120,000 SF addition marks a major milestone for New Balance and for the dedicated teams that made it possible.
The event was attended by New Balance ownership, executives, community leaders, and government officials—including both of Maine’s U.S. Senators—who celebrated New Balance’s continued commitment to manufacturing footwear in the United States. It was inspiring to hear firsthand the appreciation for the hard work, planning, and dedication that went into bringing this project to life.

At Green Leaf Construction, we are proud to have partnered with New Balance on this significant design-build manufacturing expansion. This project was the result of careful planning, innovative design, and exceptional teamwork from every member of our project team. Their collaboration and expertise ensured that this facility not only meets New Balance’s operational needs but also sets a new standard for modern manufacturing spaces.
Phase 2 of the project is already underway, transforming the former manufacturing space into state-of-the-art offices and a fitness facility for New Balance associates. This continued work underscores the long-term partnership between Green Leaf and New Balance, and our shared commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.

We extend our congratulations to the entire team—both on-site and behind the scenes—for helping make this project a success. Together, we’re building more than facilities; we’re building lasting relationships, stronger communities, and innovative spaces that support American manufacturing.
