Hazleton, PA — Green Leaf Construction has announced that construction is currently underway for a new central distribution facility for F.W. Webb Company in Hazleton, PA. This new facility will expand F.W. Webb’s distribution capabilities in the mid-Atlantic region and support continued growth. Green Leaf Construction is the design-builder for the project, which marks the second large-scale central distribution facility the firm has built for F.W. Webb.
Once complete, the 738,000-square-foot facility will serve as a modern logistics hub featuring high-bay storage, a robotic pick module, truck loading infrastructure, and insulated metal panel construction designed to support high-volume distribution operations.
Due to the region’s challenging rock conditions, the project site required significant early-stage preparation. Green Leaf Construction began construction in late September 2025, executing granite blasting of more than one million cubic yards of material, much of which has been crushed and repurposed on site for grading, stabilization, and infrastructure construction.
Among the project’s most notable infrastructure elements will be a 289,000-gallon fire protection water storage tower, designed to support advanced fire protection systems throughout the facility. Additional operational features will include 70 loading dock doors, dedicated truck wash facilities, and large-scale warehouse space designed for efficient product handling and storage.
As construction continues through 2026, the project will soon move into the next major phase, with foundation work beginning later this month and structural steel scheduled to follow thereafter. The facility remains on track for a spring 2027 opening, marking a significant expansion of F.W. Webb Company’s distribution network and another successful collaboration with Green Leaf Construction.
